The season 4 edition of Bigbrother naija (Pepper Dem) came to an end in 2019. The season had lot of viewers with each Housemates having their own fan base.
The show is known for its drama, as it’s been one of the ways many Nigerians has been able to take their mind off their everyday challenges. Different groups of people with different character and cultures are selected to participate on this show for an ultimate price. In doing this, they have given the viewer the right to judge them and also determine their state in the house by voting.
The housemates on this show are always at an advantage to showcase their talents and personalities that many be enticing to bands that will love to work with them. Sponsors get the value worth through advertisement on the show and PR. Everyone involved with this show has something to gain financially from this show. Season 4 edition alone pulled 240million voters in 2019. With having such number of voters, they have also been able to grow their number of subscribers on their platform.
BBNaija is not a regular talent hunt show, so i question what it has to offer Nigeria youths. Ebuka who is the show host made it known that the show will help the participants to discover their talents, interact with fellow housemates and show case their talent to the viewers. Of cos the show has helped push 90% of the housemates to succeed in their chosen careers but does this means that the show has impacted the Nigeria youths positively?
