Enjoying Random Companionship at Home or Living Solo Away
Apart from the economic disadvantages Nigeria is perceived to have as a country, the random acts of kindness from her people, unplanned conversations with strangers and the welcoming atmosphere is a thing that keeps most Nigerians sane and alive. Despite all this niceties and goodwill, many Nigerians are risking their lives to leave the country. Some taking risks as deadly as trekking for months through thick forests, deep oceans and high mountains. Then, you begin to question, to what end are these risks for? I am not oblivious to the fact that foreign countries provide better living conditions, but what use are these conditions if you can’t enjoy your freedom in peace? How beautiful is it that you live a robotic life? You barely can seek help or give help, everyone is living in silos. With all of these, why do people still want to leave the companionship beautiful Nigeria offers for a “lonely’ life? This is assuming the economy is not a consideration.
