The 43mm case frames the striking dial, with off-centre hours and minutes displayed on a striking blue lacquered dial with a dome-shaped centre secured by two mirror-polished screws. It includes diamond-cut hour markers, rhodium-plated hands and rhodium-plated minute markers. The small seconds sub-dial, which are arranged vertically on the same axis, is also painted in blue.
The main plate – next to the hours and minutes display – is sandblasted with a polished bevel. The domed sapphire crystal magnifies the oscillator and enhances the three-dimensional structure of the dial.
The self-manufacturing movement, the Calibre ML230, vibrates at 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5Hz), the optimum frequency for the all-silicon range, as its effect on the glassy substance is milder than that experienced in some higher-vibration movements. Maurice Lacroix engineers reduced the number of movement components to just 188 to achieve the combined benefits of a clean appearance and enhanced reliability. The rest of the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

The classic model (model MP6118-SS001-112) in satin-finished and polished stainless steel includes off-centre hours and minutes, a pure white lacquered dial with black Roman numerals, gold-plated hands and markers in blue and black. A circular Côtes de Genève pattern decorates the rest of the dial.
The contemporary version (reference MP6118-PVB01-330) features a stainless steel case with black PVD coating and black lacquer off-centre hours and minutes, diamond-cut hour markers and rhodium-plated hands.
