The cost of courier services will increase as the Nigeria postal services will be increasing the cost of licenses for logistics and Courier Company. According to the new charges by NIPOST, companies which provide international courier services will be paying N20millon for a new license and N8m annually. Those who will be offering local services will be paying N10million for a new license and N4million annually for their renewal.

Companies operating within states will be paying N2million for license. Courier firms that operates within municipalities are to pay N1m for license and N400000 annually. For Small and Medium business owners, the license is N250000 while the annual renewal of the license is N100000.

It was discovered that the restrictions was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, whereby many business owners had taken their business online and use delivery services to run their businesses.
