The sad part of this is that he was eating from food given to the animals and acts like them since that’s the life he knows. I believe that with strong intervention he will be fine.
Kudos to those who helped him get his life back.

This is not a news in Nigeria politics. That’s how our government has been running.
We need to hold our government accountable

Nigerians are practically living in every known part of the world either the country is better than Nigeria or not. And this is because of bad governance in Nigeria.

AdministratorJuly 20, 2020 at 8:38 AM in reply to: How Is Courtship Different from Dating?…

“spirikoko” Well from what I have observed based on the way people express their relationship either as courtship or dating in Nigeria. I think courtship is like a transition from dating
. Dating is when the relationship ain’t too serious but courting is when it’s tending towards marriage. These are not the real definition though but rather an observation and I guess that’s why courtship is more attached to the “spirikoko’s” sisters and brothers who only come together from the initial stage for marriage (The relationship must lead to marriage
). But in the real sense, there is no difference. -

AdministratorJuly 20, 2020 at 8:26 AM in reply to: Training A Teenager In Nigeria or Abroad? All things been equal, the most important stage of a child is the formative years which other stages are built upon. The environment will have influence on the children no doubt but it behooves the parents to make sure that they are well taught irrespective of the environment.
I used to think that the system abroad is ” uncultured” and I believe the same of most Nigerians and black race especially in the aspect of “beating” children when they go wrong.
Haven’t learnt about raising children I began to see that they do wrong things just being childish and also by looking at what you do. It takes a higher reasoning level and great maturity to raise a child very well because sometimes you just have to reason with them and let them understand what they are doing is wrong via discussion.
One of the reasons I detest beating children is because most time many parents tends to vent their anger on their children thereby abusing them except for matured mind parents who will beat them appropriately. For example, if your phone rang while you were not there and your little child decided to bring it to you but fell and broke the screen, average Nigerian parents will beat the child even with the knowledge that the child meant no arm.
Let’s take a quick turn to the earlier years of schooling. I used to dread going to school because of being flogged mercilessly. From my many years of teaching experiences I realized it takes a lot of mental work and patience to teach children which many parent are now experiencing during the pandemic. Once you teach a child and he/she doesn’t understand you must keep changing your teaching technique but average Nigerian teacher will use cane.
Both systems have flaws but to harness the best of them I will prefer to train my child abroad because of other factors that are outside parenting, e.g. education, social amenities, etc which will invariably affect their development as well.

AdministratorJuly 18, 2020 at 9:28 PM in reply to: Transition from crude oil to GOLDI strongly agree with you that there are people who want Nigeria to be great again but then they are not ready to pay the price. We keep shifting it to the next generation just as the current generation inherited the failed state. Nigeria will be great again only if we are ready to pay the price
